Differences in wavelength and some studies:
tPBM technology uses red and near-infrared (NIR) light with wavelengths ranging from 600 to 1100 nm. These wavelengths are chosen because they have been shown to penetrate the skull and reach the brain tissue. The penetration depth of light depends on its wavelength, with longer wavelengths of NIR light being able to penetrate deeper into the brain tissue compared to shorter wavelengths of red light. Research has shown that the optimal wavelengths for tPBM therapy are between 800-900nm although here at Humanergetics, we have added to our studies longer wavelength as proposed by QuietMind Foundation.
